BREAKING: Leaders in Olorunsogo, Kajola, Oorelope, Saki West Reject APC Automatic Tickets

Leaders and stakeholders from Olorunsogo Local Government (Igbeti), Kajola Local Government (Okeho), Oorelope Local Government (Igboho), and Saki West Local Government (Saki) have firmly rejected any move to grant automatic second-term tickets to serving members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
In a strong statement reflecting grassroots sentiment, the four Local Governments opposed what they described as the imposition of incumbent lawmakers. They unanimously declared that their constituencies are not in support of second-term bids for the current APC Assembly members.
The stakeholders also cautioned political actors, particularly those described as “gladiators” who failed to secure victories in their constituencies during the last election, to stay away from their political space and focus on their respective zones.
Highlighting long-standing political arrangements, leaders from Olorunsogo and Kajola Local Governments emphasized their established rotational system, which they say has consistently ensured fairness, inclusion, and electoral success over the years. According to them, this tradition must be respected and preserved.
They further warned party leaders across other zones against making commitments or assurances of second-term tickets to incumbents, especially in exchange for financial inducements.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to equity, internal democracy, and the preservation of established political structures within their respective Local Governments.
