PSG, Arsenal Stars Dominate UEFA Champions League Team of the Season After Thrilling Final Triumph
UEFA has unveiled its official 2025/26 UEFA Champions League Team of the Season, with French champions Paris Saint-Germain leading the selection after successfully defending their European crown.
The announcement comes a day after PSG edged Arsenal 4-3 on penalties in a dramatic Champions League final, securing back-to-back European titles and cementing their dominance on the continent.
Five PSG players earned spots in the prestigious XI, reflecting the club’s remarkable campaign. Among them is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was named UEFA Champions League Player of the Season and selected on the left side of midfield. Midfield maestro Vitinha also made the team after delivering a standout performance in the final and earning the Player of the Match award.
PSG captain Marquinhos and full-back Nuno Mendes were included in defence, while star forward Ousmane Dembélé completed the club’s representation in attack.
Arsenal, despite their final heartbreak, had three players selected. Goalkeeper David Raya was named in goal after an impressive European campaign, while defender Gabriel Magalhães and midfielder Declan Rice also earned recognition.
German giants Bayern Munich contributed two players to the team. Midfielder Michael Olise was rewarded for his outstanding performances, while prolific striker Harry Kane secured a place in the attacking line-up.
The remaining spot in defence went to Marcos Llorente of Atlético de Madrid.
