20-Year-Old Arrested Over Brother’s Death in Midnight Attack

Global Mirror News gathered and verified reports confirm that the Delta State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old man over the alleged killing of his younger brother in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.

Police authorities said the tragic incident occurred in the early hours of January 8, 2025, along Poly Road near Adaigbo Filling Station.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, a distress call was received at about 7:31 a.m. indicating that a young man had been attacked while sleeping at about 3:20 a.m.

Global Mirror News gathered that detectives from the Ogwashi-Uku Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Israel Okoyomon, were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was allegedly attacked by his own brother, identified as Aliyu Haman, also 20 years old.

The suspect was promptly arrested, while the knife believed to have been used in committing the crime was recovered by the Police.

The body of the deceased was evacuated and deposited at the Odua Mortuary in Ogwashi-Uku for autopsy, as investigations continue.
