Ogun Distributes Operational Vehicles To 20 Permanent Secretaries To Boost Service Delivery

The Ogun State Government has distributed operational vehicles to 20 Permanent Secretaries in a move aimed at strengthening policy implementation, improving Inter-Agency coordination, and enhancing service delivery across the State.
Speaking during the distribution exercise on behalf of Governor Dapo Abiodun, the immediate past Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, said mobility remains a critical component of effective governance and efficient public administration.
Onasanya noted that Government operations require constant engagement, collaboration among Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as well as regular monitoring to ensure smooth execution of policies and programmes across the state.
According to him, there is a strong relationship between policy formulation and implementation, stressing that mobility is an essential requirement for achieving Government objectives.
He urged the Permanent Secretaries to remain dedicated to their responsibilities as key drivers of Government operations, emphasizing the need for professionalism, diligence, and commitment in the discharge of their duties.
The former Head of Service stated that the commitment of top civil servants to the ISEYA developmental agenda of the Abiodun administration would continue to yield positive results for Ogun State and its residents.
Onasanya also charged the beneficiaries to sustain Ogun State’s reputation as one of the leading State in public service excellence by upholding the values of integrity, hard work, and efficient service delivery.
He commended Governor Abiodun for what he described as purposeful leadership and continuous investment in equipping the civil service with tools necessary for effective performance.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Dr. Augustine Oyesanwen of the Ministry of Forestry, Mrs. Funmi Soyoye-Baker of the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr. Olalekan Taiwo, Accountant-General and Permanent Secretary, Treasury, as well as Engr. Kehinde Akintomiwa of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, expressed appreciation to the governor for the gesture.
They stated that the operational vehicles would improve productivity and enable them to carry out their duties more effectively, while assuring the government of their continued commitment to quality service delivery and successful implementation of Government policies.
