Tragedy Upon Tragedy: Baby, Two Family Members Killed While Conveying Relative’s Corpse in Lokoja
What began as a sorrowful journey to transport the remains of a loved one for burial ended in a devastating tragedy on Thursday July 9 2026, as a baby and two other family members lost their lives in a fatal road accident in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Global Mirror News gathered that the heartbreaking incident occurred around the Ganaja Village Roundabout in Lokoja when the vehicle conveying the corpse reportedly crashed into a trailer.
Eyewitnesses said the victims included the driver of the vehicle, a baby, and another relative who was accompanying the deceased person’s body. They were all said to have died instantly in the collision.
