Tinubu’s Direct Primary Policy Strengthening APC Democracy — Abiodun

Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has said the inclusive leadership style of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is deepening internal democracy within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Gov Abiodun stated this while formally presenting the official results of the APC primary election for the Ogun East Senatorial District to President Tinubu following his emergence as the party’s candidate for the Senatorial election.

The Governor expressed gratitude to God, President Tinubu, APC leaders, stakeholders, and members of the party across Ogun East for the confidence reposed in him during the primary process.

He praised Tinubu’s democratic reforms within the party, particularly the adoption of direct primaries, noting that the process has allowed party members to freely participate in choosing candidates while promoting inclusiveness, unity, and a stronger sense of belonging among APC faithful.

According to Abiodun, the successful conduct of the Ogun East APC primary election reflects the maturity, strength, and cohesion of the party in the State.

The Governor further reaffirmed his commitment to public service, saying his aspiration to represent Ogun East Senatorial District at the Senate is aimed at advancing development, peace, economic growth, and inclusive governance in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

Gov. Abiodun also appreciated party members, supporters, leaders, and stakeholders for their unwavering support and dedication toward building a more prosperous Ogun State.
