Man Dies by Suicide, Accuses Wife, In-Laws of Abuse in Final Video

A 28-year-old garment trader in India, Rahul Khosla, has reportedly died by suicide after posting a heartbreaking video on social media in which he accused his wife and her family of subjecting him to prolonged physical abuse and mental harassment.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, June 28, in the Ballabhgarh area of Faridabad. According to Police, Rahul, who lived in Sector 3 Housing Board Colony, left his home that morning after seeing his mother and headed to his garment shop, which he had opened about four months earlier.
Global Mirror News gathered that his death came to light around 11 a.m. after his brother, Amit, noticed the video Rahul had uploaded on Instagram. He immediately rushed to the shop with other relatives. They reportedly found the premises locked from the inside and forced their way in by breaking the glass door, only to discover Rahul hanging inside.
Police Officers responded to the scene, recovered the body and transported it to BK Civil Hospital for an autopsy.
In the video recorded shortly before his death, Rahul alleged that he had endured continuous physical and emotional abuse since marrying his wife, also known as Preeti, in a love marriage two years ago.
He claimed his wife, alongside her mother, Veena, father, Bittu, and sister, Neetu, repeatedly harassed him despite his efforts to maintain the household. According to Rahul, he regularly carried out domestic chores, including sweeping, mopping and washing dishes, yet was still subjected to assaults and humiliation.
Rahul further alleged that his wife insisted they live separately from his parents and had recently filed a false assault complaint against him, which he said left him under severe emotional distress.
In his final message, he appealed to authorities to take legal action against his wife and her family. He also expressed his wish that his property should pass to his mother, siblings and other family members.
Following a complaint filed by Rahul’s relatives and the contents of the video, Police in Sector 3 registered a case against his wife, her parents and her sister.
Investigating Officer Ajeet Singh said authorities have commenced a detailed investigation and are working to verify the allegations contained in the deceased’s final video.
Global Mirror News reports that the investigation is ongoing, while police have urged the public to allow due process as they examine all the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident and the allegations raised by the deceased.
If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide or overwhelming emotional distress, reaching out to trusted family members, friends, mental health professionals, or local emergency support services can make a critical difference.
