Hon. Dr Diya Celebrates Odogbolu Children, Reaffirms Commitment to Education, Welfare
The Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. (Dr.) Babatunde Oyetola Diya, has congratulated children across the Council Area on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to securing a brighter future for the younger generation.
In a statement issued on Tuesday through the Head of Information and Public Relations Department, Titilayo Ayanwale, and made available to Global Mirror News, the Council Chairman described children as the pride of every society and the foundation upon which a prosperous future is built.
Dr. Diya noted that Children’s Day serves as an important reminder of the collective responsibility of Government, parents, teachers and other stakeholders to nurture, educate and guide children toward becoming responsible leaders of tomorrow.
According to the Chairman, his administration remains committed to implementing policies and programmes that promote quality education, moral upbringing, youth empowerment and the overall welfare of children across Odogbolu Local Government Area.
He commended parents, teachers, caregivers and community stakeholders for their continued sacrifices and contributions toward the upbringing and development of children despite prevailing socio-economic challenges.
The Council Boss also encouraged children within the Local Government to remain focused on their education, uphold discipline and moral values, respect their parents and teachers, and continue to pursue their dreams with determination.
“As we celebrate this year’s Children’s Day, I urge our children to remain diligent, disciplined and committed to excellence. You are the hope of tomorrow, and together we shall continue to build a brighter future for you all,” he stated.
Dr. Diya further prayed for God’s protection, wisdom and success upon every child in Odogbolu Local Government, while wishing them a joyful and memorable Children’s Day celebration.
