Friends of Kitan Oyesiku Demand Justice, Call for Stronger Investigation Into Her Death

Friends of late Kitan Oyesiku have called on the Ogun State Government, the Ogun State Police Command and other relevant authorities to intensify investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death.
In a press statement signed by Oluwaseun Boye, mnipr, on behalf of the Friends of Kitan Oyesiku, the group said it was renewing its appeal after previously urging members of the public with useful information to come forward.
The group described Kitan as a peaceful, compassionate and kind-hearted woman whose life was tragically cut short.
According to the statement, her death has left her family, friends and loved ones devastated, with the group insisting that those responsible must be identified and made to face the law.
The friends of the deceased also commended the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, and officers of the Ogun State Police Command for the steps taken so far in the investigation.
They, however, urged the Police to sustain the momentum until every person linked to the crime is arrested and prosecuted.
“We respectfully appeal to the Ogun State Government and all relevant authorities not to allow Kitan’s murder to be swept under the carpet,” the statement read.
“Justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done. Bringing the perpetrators to justice will reassure the public that no life is insignificant and that criminal acts of this nature will not go unpunished.”
The group further appealed to members of the public to share any credible information that could assist investigators in solving the case.
It noted that even seemingly minor details could provide the breakthrough needed to ensure justice for the deceased.
The friends said they remain hopeful that the truth will emerge and that those responsible for Kitan Oyesiku’s death will be brought to book.
