Armstrong Akintunde Felicitates Muslims On Eid-el-Kabir

The Convener of the Yayi Progressives Movement, Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde has congratulated Muslim faithful across Ogun State and Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Akintunde in his felicitation message made available to journalists on Wednesday described the festive period as a moment of joy, reflection, unity, and prayers for the peace and progress of the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He called on Muslim faithful to continue offering prayers for Ogun State and also support the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
Akintunde said the Eid celebration presents another opportunity for Nigerians to strengthen the spirit of togetherness, sacrifice, and commitment to nation-building.
“This is another joyous moment for us to witness the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir. May the blessings and happiness of this season fill our homes, communities and the nation at large.
“I want to specially appeal to our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to support and pray for the success of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State. Senator Adeola’s vision and leadership qualities remain vital to the continued development and growth of our dear state.”
Akintunde further stressed the need for unity among members and supporters of the movement, noting that collective commitment and teamwork would remain essential in achieving its political goals.
“This celebration should serve as a reminder that we are one family and one progressive movement. Our collective strength, unity, and dedication will continue to move us forward as we work together for a better Ogun State,” – he added.
He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Yayi Progressives Movement to grassroots mobilization, youth empowerment, and inclusive political participation across the state; saying the group remains focused on building a strong political structure that prioritizes the welfare and aspirations of the people.
“The Yayi Progressives Movement has continued to gain recognition across Ogun State for its consistent engagement with communities, promotion of progressive ideals, and unwavering support for visionary leadership.
“The group reiterated its determination to sustain its mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections while fostering unity, development, and democratic participation among citizens”. – Akintunde posited.
