Anchor Pharmacy Opens in Abeokuta as Ogun Progressive CICS Deepens Healthcare Investment
Abeokuta will get a new destination for Premium Healthcare on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, with the official launch and commissioning of Anchor Pharmacy and Store at Ijemo-Agbadu Road, Ake.
The facility is an innovative Healthcare Venture established by private investors in partnership with the Ogun State Progressive Cooperative Investment and Credit Society [Ogun State Progressive CICS]. According to management, the project is designed to improve access to safe, quality, and affordable pharmaceutical services for cooperative members and residents across the capital.
“This initiative reflects our shared commitment to community-focused investments that enhance wellbeing,” said Quadri A. W., CEO and Union President of Ogun State Progressive CICS, whose administration is driving the cooperative’s expansion into sustainable healthcare projects. The pharmacy’s operations will be led by Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacist Akinsete Akintunde Charles.
A New Standard for Community Care
Anchor Pharmacy and Store says it will offer genuine prescription and over-the-counter medications, premium wellness products, professional pharmaceutical counselling, medical consumables, and healthcare essentials, all backed by professional care.

The Pharmacy will be officially commissioned by Engr. Olanike Morenike Ogunbona, Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission [LGSC] and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers [FNSE].
The event marks a key milestone in Ogun State Progressive CICS’ strategy to broaden access to quality healthcare through strategic partnerships.
