Tragedy in the House of God: Woman Found Dead in Ogun Church Auditorium

A heartbreaking incident has occurred at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Prayer City auditorium in Ogun State, where a 41-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The woman, identified as Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, was discovered unconscious on the auditorium floor with an empty bottle of suspected toxic substance beside her.

The church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere, received an emergency call around 7:20 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, about an unconscious woman lying on the auditorium floor. Upon arrival, Ekikere found the woman motionless and immediately reported the incident to the authorities.

The Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Benita’s death. The body was taken to the Real Divine Hospital morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities are working to piece together the events leading up to the incident and are seeking to gather more information from those familiar with the deceased.
