SHOCK IN ABEOKUTA AS MAN DIES IN FAMILY DISPUTE

Residents of Abeokuta were thrown into confusion on Thursday night, 4th of September,2025, when Mr. Adelanwa Michael Matemilola , a business man lost his life in a clash linked to allegations against his daughter, Bamgboye Iyabode Oluwatosin’s lifestyle.

According to neighbours, trouble started when accusations surfaced about the daughter’s “bisexual behaviour,” which the community strongly opposed.

The father, who had been repeatedly summoned by both Police and Civil Defence for questioning on the matter, was attacked after another heated argument.

Eyewitnesses said the confrontation turned deadly when stones and sticks were used. His wife : Adelanwa Junice Dupe also sustained serious injuries and was rushed out of the area for safety.

Community leaders declined to comment officially, but one resident said the case has divided families and left the area in fear.

Security Agencies are said to be investigating the matter
