Presidential Aide Aliyu Audu Resigns Suddenly

Aliyu Audu, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Public Affairs, has tendered his resignation, effective immediately. In a letter dated June 8, Audu expressed gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve and praised former presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale for recommending him for the role.
Audu’s resignation letter, routed through the President’s Chief of Staff, read: “I write to formally tender my resignation… effective immediately. I thanked the President for the opportunity to serve my fatherland under your visionary leadership.” He added, “It has been an honour to contribute to the public communication efforts of this administration.”
As of this report, the Presidency has not responded to Audu’s resignation. The reasons behind his sudden departure remain unclear, leaving many to speculate about the implications for the administration.
