President Tinubu Visits Plateau, Consoles Grieving Mother Seen in Viral Video

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the people and Government of Plateau State following the deadly attack on the Angwan Rukuba Community in Jos.
Global Mirror News gathered that the attack, which occurred on Palm Sunday, March 29, left more than 40 people dead and several others injured.
During the visit, the President condemned the violence and expressed sympathy to victims and their families. He also met with Rhoda, the grieving mother whose emotional video holding her late son, Ayuba, after the attack went viral online.
Addressing her, President Tinubu said he understood the pain she was experiencing after seeing the video.
“I know the pain. I saw how, in the video, you held on to Ayuba and the pain and agony in your heart. It is only God who can give you joy and comfort. No amount of money can pay all of you back, but as a Government, we will do our best to comfort and support you,” the President said.
He further prayed that such a tragedy would never happen again and assured residents that the Federal Government would continue efforts to improve security and bring those responsible to justice.
Global Mirror News gathered that President Tinubu postponed his scheduled visit to Ogun State in order to travel to Plateau and commiserate with affected families. During the visit, he also met with Government Officials, traditional rulers and other stakeholders in the State.
