CSP Benjamin Hundeyin Takes Over as New FPRO

The Nigeria Police Force has welcomed a new face in its Public Relations Department.
Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has appointed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), replacing Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
According to a statement by DCP Adejobi, CSP Hundeyin is a seasoned Communicator with a wealth of experience in Policing and Public Relations.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language from Lagos State University and a Master’s degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
Additionally, he has a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre in Jaji, Kaduna State.
Before his new appointment, CSP Hundeyin served as the Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command.
He has also worked in various capacities, including as the Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, and as an Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Notably, he was part of the Nigerian contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID) in 2020.
CSP Hundeyin is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
These credentials demonstrate his expertise in Public Relations, Communication, and Human Resource Management.
As the new FPRO, CSP Hundeyin has been tasked with leveraging his expertise in communication and security to strengthen the Nigeria Police Force’s Public Relations activities and maintain continuous positive engagement with the public.
The Inspector-General of Police has charged him to ensure that the Force’s Public Relations activities are bolstered, and that the public is well-informed about Police activities and initiatives.
DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the outgoing FPRO, has been redeployed to the Delta State Police Command as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations.
The redeployment reflects the confidence of the Force leadership in Adejobi’s extensive experience and professionalism.
Adejobi’s new role will involve overseeing operational activities in the State, ensuring effective Policing and Security.
