Osun Amotekun Cracks Down on Child Rapists…

Suspects of rape

In a significant breakthrough, the Osun State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun Corps, has apprehended three individuals accused of raping minors in separate incidents across the State.

The suspects, who are facing serious allegations, include a teacher, a farmworker, and a 60-year-old man.

Teacher’s Shocking Confession

One of the suspects, 26-year-old Elijah Olawale, a teacher from Ijebu-Ijesa community, was arrested after his wife reported him to the authorities.

Olawale confessed to defiling his wife’s daughter about three years ago and recently.

When questioned about his actions, he expressed shock and claimed he couldn’t understand what drove him to commit such a heinous act.

Despite his confession, Olawale’s background as a teacher in various schools raises disturbing questions about the safety of students in his care.

Farmworker’s Dastardly Act

In a separate incident, ThankGod Friday, a 26-year-old farmworker from Modakeke, was accused of raping his employer’s 12-year-old daughter not once but twice.

Friday confessed to the crime after being apprehended by Amotekun operatives.

The young victim’s ordeal highlights the vulnerability of children in their own homes and the need for vigilance.

60-Year-Old Man’s Heinous Crime

Adeleke Sodiq, a 60-year-old man from Ode-Omu, allegedly lured a 6-year-old toddler into his room with money and raped her.

When questioned, Sodiq claimed it was his first time committing such an act.

The age of the victim and the manner in which she was lured make this case particularly disturbing.

The Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun, Isaac Omoyele, has reiterated the Agency’s commitment to ensuring that the suspects face the full wrath of the law.

Omoyele warned residents against crimes, emphasizing that Amotekun would not tolerate any form of abuse or violence against children.

The suspects will be arraigned in court once the investigation is complete.
