The Ojerinde Ibara Omida Dynasty Heritage has announced the death of Olufunmilayo Oyabunmi Ojerinde, a respected matriarch and beloved community figure, who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

According to a statement released by the family, Funmilayo “slept in the Lord” and is remembered fondly by relatives, friends, and members of the extended dynasty. She was described as a devoted mother, sister, and aunty whose influence and legacy touched many lives.

In their announcement, the family expressed deep sorrow at her passing and reaffirmed their faith in God’s will. They also prayed for divine mercy and eternal rest for her soul.
