Ogun Police on High Alert: ‘777’ Cult Anniversary Sparks Crackdown

The Ogun State Police Command has issued a stern warning against cult groups planning to mark the “777” Anniversary across the State. In a bid to prevent violence and disruptions to public peace, the Police have reinforced security operations across all Divisions and Area Commands.
“We will not tolerate any attempts to stage unlawful gatherings, processions, or Anniversary events linked to cultism,” CSP Omolola Odutola, Police Public Relations Officer, stated. “Security Operatives will disperse any gatherings that raise suspicion or threaten public peace.”
Parents and guardians have been urged to monitor their children’s activities and discourage them from associating with cult groups. The Police Command remains committed to maintaining public order and urges residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
Individuals found with firearms or other weapons during this period will face prosecution. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
