Ogun Police Bust Man With Four Human Heads in Shocking Cemetery Crime

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested Gafaru Rasaki over the alleged exhumation of human remains from a cemetery in Sagamu, after he was reportedly found in possession of four human heads.
Global Mirror News gathered that the suspect was apprehended by operatives of the Shakura Police Division on January 21, 2026, following intelligence that led security personnel to his location.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Abeokuta, the Police spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed that preliminary investigations revealed the suspect had unlawfully exhumed the remains from a local cemetery in Sagamu.
The command said the recovered exhibits have been secured, while investigators continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the act, including the suspect’s motive and whether others were involved.
DSP Babaseyi described the crime as a gross violation of the law and public morality, emphasizing that such acts constitute serious offences against the dignity of the deceased.
He further stated that Rasaki would be arraigned in court upon completion of investigations, reiterating the Ogun State Police Command’s commitment to protecting communities and ensuring that grave desecration or similar crimes do not go unpunished.
