Ogun NUJ Hails Appointment of Dayo Rufai, Femi Adeleye as Gov. Abiodun’s Media Aides

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, has congratulated Baaroyin Dayo Rufai, Publisher of Gateway Times, and Femi Adeleye of City Watch on their appointments as Media Aides to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta, the Council commended Governor Abiodun for appointing experienced media professionals, describing the decision as a reflection of his commitment to effective public communication and respect for the journalism profession.

The NUJ noted that the appointments further reaffirm the administration’s recognition of the media as a critical partner in governance, adding that the choice of Rufai and Adeleye underscores the value placed on competence and professionalism.

The Union also applauded the Ogun East Independent Online Chapel, describing the emergence of its members into the State’s executive media team as a notable achievement that highlights the Chapel’s growing influence and leadership quality.

According to the statement, both appointees are seasoned journalists who have made significant contributions to the media space in Ogun State.

The Council expressed confidence that their wealth of experience would strengthen the Governor’s media team and enhance communication between the Government and the people.

The Ogun NUJ wished the newly appointed media aides a successful and impactful tenure as they contribute to the development of the Gateway State.

The statement was jointly signed by the Chairman of the Ogun NUJ, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, and the Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun.
