The Ogun State Government has announced the appointment of Mrs. Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale as the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, succeeding the late Dr. Adesina Olanloye.

The appointment was disclosed in an official statement signed by the State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, who noted that the decision aligns with the provisions of the state’s Procurement Law as amended.

According to the statement, Bolarinwa-Adebowale emerged through a rigorous and merit-driven selection process. The exercise involved the shortlisting and screening of qualified candidates who had successfully completed the Executive Training Validation and Development Programme (ETVDP) within the management cadre of the Ogun State Civil Service.

The Government emphasized that the new Director-General met all required competencies, demonstrating the necessary expertise, skills, and professional knowledge for the role.

A seasoned Legal Practitioner, Bolarinwa-Adebowale was born on May 22, 1978, in Ibadan, Oyo State. She began her career in the Ogun State Civil Service as a State Counsel in December 2005.

She is an alumna of Anglican Girls’ Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode, holds a law degree from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), and was called to the Bar after completing her training at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus.

Before her elevation, she served as Deputy Director of Civil Litigation at the Ministry of Justice and was later deployed to the Bureau of Public Procurement as a Legal Officer.

The Head of Service described her appointment as part of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration’s broader commitment to strengthening transparency, due process, and accountability in public procurement.

He added that the move is aimed at ensuring procurement policies are effectively implemented in line with global best practices and established bureaucratic procedures.

Onasanya also congratulated the new appointee and urged her to approach her responsibilities with diligence, integrity, and strict adherence to the legal framework guiding her office.
