Ogun Assembly Praises Physical Planning, Works Ministries for Revenue Performance
The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation has commended the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development for exceeding its 2025 revenue target while maintaining strong collaboration with the Assembly to ensure a well-planned and orderly urban environment.
The commendation came during the presentation of the 2026 budget proposals, led by the State Commissioner for Physical Planning, TPL Olatunji Odunlami, along with other Agencies under the Ministry.
Members of the Committee, chaired by Hon. Musefiu Lamidi, encouraged the Ministry to further deepen synergy with the Ministries of Environment and Works and Infrastructure to enhance coordinated planning, improve service delivery, and support sustainable urban development across the State.
Responding to the commendation, Mr. Odunlami emphasized that the Ministry’s 2026 budget would focus on proactive development planning, aimed at fostering a conducive environment for socio-economic growth through sustainable physical planning and orderly urban development.
In a related development, the Committee also praised the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, led by Commissioner Engr. Ade Akinsanya, for its effective collaboration with the State House of Assembly in delivering critical infrastructural projects that contribute to the socio-economic advancement of Ogun State.
The recognition of both Ministries underscores the Assembly’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen urban management, enhance public service delivery, and drive economic development within the State.
