Ogun APC E-Registration Sees Massive Turnout, Governor Abiodun Applauds Smooth Exercise
The ongoing electronic registration and re-registration of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has been described as seamless and highly successful, drawing large crowds across the State.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, who personally monitored the exercise in several Local Government Areas, expressed satisfaction over the smooth operations, noting that the massive turnout reflects the growing confidence of the people in both the APC and his administration.
Speaking to Global Mirror News, Chief Henry Fagbenro, Chairman of the APC in Abeokuta South Local Government and National Chairman of APC Local Government Party Chairmen of Nigeria, said the queues of residents eager to register underscore the party’s strong performance in Ogun State.
Chief Fagbenro commended President Bola Tinubu for initiating electronic registration and praised Governor Abiodun for his digital innovation in making the registration process a reality.
Governor Abiodun highlighted that the APC is the first party in Nigeria—and arguably on the continent—to link members’ registration to their national identity numbers (NIN), a move he said strengthens party structures and enhances transparency.
Otunba Dare Odufowokan, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to Governor Abiodun, told Global Mirror News that the response of the people is a direct reflection of the Governor’s achievements across all parts of the State.
“The good works of Governor Dapo Abiodun are evident and have inspired this massive response. The people are showing, through their registration, that APC is the party that resonates with them,” Odufowokan said.
Governor Abiodun urged residents and party members yet to register to take advantage of the ongoing exercise, describing it as “an opportunity to join a progressive and forward-looking political movement.”
