In a grand ceremony scheduled for Saturday, August 30, 2025, Owu-Akinale in Ogun State’s Ewekoro Local Government Area will witness the coronation of His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Oluseyi Ayodeji Adewole Adediran, as the Otileta I, Towulade of Owu-Akinale.

The event, set to take place at the Baptist Primary School grounds, promises to be a spectacular display of culture, tradition, and community spirit. The coronation will be accompanied by the launch of several development projects, including a mini Health Centre, a Borehole Water Project, and an Education Trust Fund.

The family of the late Prince Olujide Akanji Adediran is felicitating the coronation of Oba Oluseyi Ayodeji Adewole, Otileta I, as a mark of respect and celebration of their loved one’s legacy. The family’s gesture underscores the significance of this momentous occasion.

The occasion is expected to attract a who’s who of dignitaries, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor Dapo Abiodun, and Senator Ibikunle Amosun. Music legend Chief Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi is also set to perform, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Irukere a di abere, Olori a sise ibi” – “May your reign be peaceful” – echoes through the air, a testament to the hopes and aspirations of the people for their new monarch.
