Nigeria vs Cameroon: Super Falcons Friendly Postponed Again

The highly anticipated friendly match between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses has been rescheduled once more. Initially set for Saturday, May 31, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, the match was later moved to Monday, June 2, at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta due to the late arrival of the Cameroonian team.
However, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) did not approve the revised date, prompting a reversion to the original schedule. The match will now take place on Tuesday, June 3, at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta, with kickoff scheduled for *4 pm Nigeria time.
The first leg was canceled due to logistical issues and the late arrival of the Cameroonian delegation, which disrupted necessary pre-match protocols and recovery timelines.
The friendly serves as a crucial part of the Super Falcons’ preparations for the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Nigeria boasts a strong head-to-head record against Cameroon, with the Lionesses failing to score in their last six meetings.
