NECO Releases National Common Entrance Examination Results for Federal Unity Colleges

The National Examination Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admission into 80 Federal Unity Colleges (FUCs) and the Federal Government Academy (FGA). The examination, conducted on June 14, 2025, across Nigeria, Benin Republic, and Togo, saw a total of 64,578 candidates register, with 61,290 sitting for the exam and 3,288 absent.
Examination Highlights
– Candidate Participation: 61,290 candidates sat for the examination, while 3,288 were absent.
– Examination Malpractice:52 candidates were involved in examination malpractice, with 2 from Lagos State and 50 from Rivers State.
– Highest and Lowest Scores: The results showed a range of scores, with some candidates achieving high marks while others scored lower.
Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, addressed journalists at the Ministry of Education, highlighting the key points of the examination results. She emphasized the importance of the Federal Unity Colleges in promoting Unity and National Integration.
The admission criteria for selection into Federal Unity Colleges remain unchanged, with:
– 60% Merit-based admission
– 30% Equality of State representation
– 10% Exigency
