Owolabi Ebunoluwa Motunrayo, daughter of Owolabi Ajasa, a Nollywood Star Actor, and Governor of Ogun TAMPAN who was born into acting. She eats, drinks, sleeps and lives in the movie industry. while she was in Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta, her role as a good make up artiste, a fashion designer, and thespian continue to make inroad into make believe World, she is an octopus and a real game changer.
The make up artiste is also a fashion designer, she tells REPORTER Adeoye Tunmise her success story in the industry and the burden of her father’s image. Excerpts:

Who is Owolabi Ebunoluwa Motunrayo

My name is OWOLABI EBUNOLUWA MOTUNRAYO. I attended the Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta and proceeded to Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu Ode.Apart from being a make up artist, I am also a FASHION DESIGNER which led me to Customier in the movie industry..

My journey into acting

I started acting from childhood because I am an Actor. My biological Father is the Governor of TAMPAN in Ogun State Comrade OWOLABI YEKUOLA AJASA, I love acting and l have been also acting in school drama since when I was in primary school, that has given me passion and courage to join the profession through My Daddy.

Challenges As Make Up Artiste/Actress

The issue of piracy has affected the movie industry and it can be managed with the help of the government, the government should intervene in the matter so as to curb the pirate movies and those involved.

My Role Model

My father is my role model in person of Comrade OWOLABI AJASA, He has been my motivator and mentor in this movie industry, because he has passion and commitment to the film industry and this has been a way that I want to do more for my career as an Acttess and Costumier.

My First Experience As An Actress

My first experience as an Actor and a Costumier in the industry has given me the courage to exhibit my passion for fashion, as a Fashion Designer that I have the orientation before, it has given me the opportunity and the strength to exhibit my talents and passion to the fashion world.

Do people link your success to your dad also being in the industry?

Yes they do. It happens all the time. That is what most people say. ‘Oh her father’s influence helped him, I hear that all the time.

Does it bother you?

Not that I have a problem with that. Of course, I am not going to fight them, but when I have the opportunity to talk to
the Press, I always say that my father is a genius who mentors us his Children to be ourselves. I am also trying to let young people know that you can make it on your own. It is not about having a big name or having a small name, but believing in yourself. If you want to do something, don’t let anybody run you down, do it, you are going to make it.
My father was there like a big figure for me to look up to.
