Just Adetoun in Legal Trouble as Doctor Is Remanded Over Alleged Fake Medical Report

Popular blogger and social media personality, Adetoun Onajobi, widely known as @justadetoun, has been dragged deeper into legal trouble as the Ogun State Government confirmed that a Medical Doctor has been remanded in prison over an alleged fake medical report linked to her, Global Mirror News has gathered.
According to findings by Global Mirror News, the Ogun State Government disclosed that the medical report was allegedly procured to help the blogger evade a Police invitation arising from a petition filed against her.
The State Government further revealed that the Ogun State Police Command has filed a six-count charge against Adetoun under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015, while describing her as currently on the run.
Global Mirror News gathered that the controversy followed videos circulated by the blogger after an accident involving world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, in Ogun State. In the videos, Adetoun allegedly claimed that there were no ambulance services in the state and accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of being out of the country on personal engagements instead of attending to the emergency.
Reacting, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, reportedly described the claims as false, malicious, and deliberately misleading, insisting that Ogun State operates several functional ambulance services and warning that such misinformation could endanger public safety.
According to information obtained by Global Mirror News, Adetoun was formally invited by the police for questioning on January 5, 2026, following an earlier notice dated January 2. She allegedly failed to honour the invitation and went into hiding, despite publicly claiming to have evidence to support her allegations.
While reportedly in hiding, the blogger was said to have released another video claiming she was ill and medically unfit to appear before the police. Her lawyer subsequently wrote to the police, attaching a medical report allegedly issued by a Lagos-based doctor.
However, police investigations allegedly established that the medical report was fraudulent. Global Mirror News gathered that the doctor later admitted he neither examined nor treated Adetoun, contrary to the contents of the report.
The doctor has since been arrested, charged, and remanded in prison for alleged fraudulent medical documentation and obstruction of justice, while investigations continue to uncover other possible accomplices. Adetoun, meanwhile, remains at large.
The Ogun State Government also questioned the blogger’s credibility, wondering why someone who publicly claimed to possess evidence could neither present it to law enforcement nor make it available publicly.
The statement further alleged that Adetoun has a history of cyberbullying and online harassment, citing previous incidents, including one involving a woman sweeping an estate in Lagos and the alleged unlawful filming and sharing of images of the woman’s underage child on social media.
As of the time of filing this report, Adetoun had yet to issue a detailed response to the allegations, while the Ogun State Government insisted that the matter would be pursued in line with the law.
