Jealousy, Domestic Dispute End in Tragedy as Three Children Die

Shock and grief have followed the deaths of three young children after their mother allegedly poisoned them in the wake of a domestic dispute with her husband.

The woman, identified as Linet Munala, is accused of causing the deaths of her one-year-old twins and a four-year-old child following a disagreement with their father.

The children were found lifeless in their family home after a neighbour was alerted to check on them.

According to information gathered by Global Mirror News, tensions reportedly escalated after Munala learned that her husband, Alex Mogeni, a dispatch driver with Galaxy Express Parcels, was allegedly involved in an extramarital affair. The revelation is said to have sparked a heated confrontation between the couple.

Police reports indicate that Mogeni was away from home on the day of the incident. Investigators allege that Munala prepared food laced with a toxic substance and fed it to the children.

The tragic discovery was made after Munala allegedly contacted a neighbour, asking her to check on the children. Upon finding them unresponsive, the neighbour immediately alerted authorities.

Munala reportedly fled the area but was later apprehended in Syokimau and transferred to Mlolongo Police Station for questioning.

The children’s bodies have been moved to the city mortuary, where post-mortem examinations are expected to be conducted.

Police say investigations are ongoing and that the suspect will be arraigned in court once inquiries are concluded.
