JAMB Opens 2026 UTME Slip Printing Ahead of April 16 Examination

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the printing of examination slips for candidates sitting for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), paving the way for candidates to confirm their examination dates, venues and time ahead of the nationwide exercise.
Global Mirror News gathered that the slip printing process began on Thursday, April 9, with candidates directed to visit the official JAMB portal to access and print their examination slips. The UTME is scheduled to commence on April 16, 2026, across accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres Nationwide.
According to JAMB, the reprinted slip contains crucial details including the candidate’s examination date, time, centre address and other instructions required for the examination. Candidates were advised to carefully review the information and make adequate arrangements before their scheduled examination date.
To print the slip, candidates are expected to log on to the JAMB portal and click on the “Print Examination Slip” option. They can then input either their registration number, email address or telephone number used during registration before downloading and printing the slip.
Global Mirror News further gathered that many candidates have been urged to print their slips early in order to avoid last-minute congestion on the portal, as thousands of candidates are expected to access the platform simultaneously in the days leading to the examination.
Education stakeholders also advised candidates to locate their examination centres ahead of time, especially those assigned to unfamiliar locations, to avoid arriving late on examination day. Candidates are equally encouraged to print more than one copy of the slip and keep them safe.
The 2026 UTME will run from April 16 to April 25 and is expected to involve millions of candidates seeking admission into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education across Nigeria.
