Gov. Abiodun Unveils New Roads in Ijebu-Ode, Boosting Connectivity, Commerce

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has commissioned the newly constructed Abeokuta–Obalende and Osinubi New Roads in Ijebu-Ode, marking a key milestone in the State’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
At the event, Governor Abiodun emphasized that his administration prioritizes action over words, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to expanding and modernizing road networks across Ogun State.
The Governor revealed that over 20 township roads in Ijebu-Ode have been reconstructed, including Awujale Road, Ijebu-Ode–Epe–Mojoda Road, Molipa–Fusigboye Road, Stadium–Luba–Gateway Annex Road, Imoru Road, Tam-Balogun Road, and Osinubi Road, with additional projects ongoing.
Engr. Ade Akinsanya, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, noted that the roads are designed to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and stimulate Local commerce.
Hon. Dare Alebiosu, Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government, said the upgraded roads have already enhanced economic activities and public trust in Government.
Barr. Femi Ogunbanwo, representing Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu North-East, and Odogbolu Federal Constituency, lauded the Governor’s consistent infrastructure investments, while market leaders, led by Otun Akile Iyaloja Mrs. Kikelomo Olufunmi, highlighted the positive impact on trading activities.
Traditional rulers and community leaders also praised the initiative, describing the projects as timely and transformative for the development of the Area.
