Gov Abiodun Boosts Workers’ Morale with End-of-Year Bonus, Early December Salary

Public Servants in Ogun State have applauded Governor Dapo Abiodun following the payment of the end-of-year bonus and the early release of December salaries, a move widely seen as a relief measure ahead of the festive season.

Findings by Global Mirror News show that the payments generated excitement across Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as workers welcomed the financial support at a time when household expenses traditionally rise.

The end-of-year bonus, which has become a regular feature of the Abiodun administration, is viewed as a reflection of the Government’s sustained commitment to workers’ welfare.

Speaking on the development, the Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, said the gesture was aimed at appreciating public servants for their dedication and commitment throughout the year.

He noted that the bonus also recognises the critical role workers play in advancing the State Government’s Building Our Future Together Agenda.

According to Onasanya, the bonus was paid across all categories of State Government employees, stressing that the inclusive approach was designed to boost morale, enhance productivity and improve service delivery.

Several workers who spoke with Global Mirror News described the payments as timely and thoughtful.

They said the end-of-year bonus, alongside the early payment of the December 2025 salary, would help them clear outstanding bills and make adequate preparations for Christmas and the New Year.

The workers further expressed gratitude to Governor Abiodun, noting that the prompt payments had eased financial pressure and lifted morale across the State Civil Service.
