From Clerical Desk to Director’s Office — Kikisagbe’s 35-Year Rise Redefines Public Service in Ogun

Mr. Musiliu Kayode Kikisagbe, FCPA, fondly called “The Government,” will formally bow out of the Ogun State Local Government Service on Thursday, January 15, 2026, bringing to a close a 35-year career widely acknowledged for resilience, professionalism, and impact.

Mr. Kikisagbe began his journey in the Local Government of Ogun State as a Clerical Officer (HAPSS 04) and, through steady advancement marked by discipline and competence, rose to become Director of Agricultural and Natural Resources in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.

His career path has become a reference point for young Public Officers who aspire to grow through merit, continuous learning, and dedication to duty.

During his tenure, Kikisagbe played a pivotal role in strengthening Agricultural Programmes and Rural Development Initiatives across the Local Governments.

His performance earned him the Best Agriculture and Natural Resources Officer Award on two occasions at the Annual Ogun State Local Governments Excellence Awards 2023 and 2024, underscoring his contributions to food security, farmer support, and sustainable community development.

Colleagues describe him as a mentor and institution builder, known for an open-door leadership style and a commitment to nurturing younger officers.

Many staff members credit his guidance for their professional growth and for the improved operational standards within the Department he led.

A retirement ceremony has been scheduled for January 15, 2026, where family members, colleagues, and well-wishers are expected to celebrate a public servant whose career exemplified perseverance, integrity, and service to the people of Ogun State.
