Digital Age Leadership: Ogun and Oyo Principals Get Trained

The Olusegun Obasanjo Leadership Institute (OOLI) has launched an ambitious eight-week training program for Secondary School Principals in Ogun and Oyo States. This initiative focuses on equipping school leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the digital age.
Programme Highlights
– Comprehensive Curriculum: The training covers a wide range of topics, including digital literacy, cybersecurity, leadership and management, teaching and learning, and community engagement.
– Practical Approach: The programme features a hybrid delivery mode, combining case studies and practical exercises to ensure that participants can apply their knowledge in real-world settings.
– Expert Facilitation: The training is led by experienced facilitators, including Professor Emeritus Peter Okebukola, Chairman of the OOLI Special Management Advisory Group.
The programme aims to empower school Principals to lead model schools in Nigeria and Africa. Upon completion, participants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive change in complex educational environments. According to General (retd) Martin Luther Agwai, Director of OOLI, “Today’s principals are strategic leaders who must contend with a range of complex demands—from governance and school safety to fostering innovation and creating inclusive learning environments.”
