Christian Youth Circle Interdenominational Celebrates 35 Years of Faith and Service

The Christian Youth Circle Interdenominational (CYC) marked a significant milestone – its 35th Anniversary – with a Grand Ceremony at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Ago Oba, Abeokuta, on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Oba Dr. Adeniyi Olayinka Emulu, the Royal Father of the Day, and Amb. Chief Lanre Adeshina, the Chairman of the Day. Chief Samuel Abiodun Ajayi, Balogun of Ijemo land, Agbaloye of Egbaland; Mother of the Day, Dr. Mrs Yinka Elemide PS, Ogun State Hospital Management Board, among others.

The theme of the celebration was “The Faithful God”. The ceremony featured the incorporating investiture of Grand Patrons, Patrons, and Advisers while given an Award of Honour to some individuals for their contributions to the growth of CYC
Comrd Kehinde Adenekan, the Central President of CYC, expressed gratitude to everyone present and emphasized the importance of love, unity, and peace, encouraging the continued propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mr. Seyi Ojerinde, Pioneer President of CYC, delivered a goodwill message, praising CYC’s commitment to fostering spiritual growth, unity, and service. He noted that CYC impact has been felt in countless lives and emphasized the importance of maintaining the principles of peace, love, and unity. Ojerinde prayed for God’s continued guidance, protection, and blessings upon CYC.

The Christian Youth Circle CYC (Interdenominational) was established in 1989 with the First Unit at St. Andrews Church, Ibara, on March 11th. Today, CYC has 31 units across different denominations of churches in Abeokuta.
