Blessing CEO Deletes Instagram After Doctor Challenges Cancer Story on Live TV

Controversial relationship commentator Blessing Okoro has deactivated her Instagram account after a tense live interview in which Medical Doctor questioned the authenticity of her claim that she is battling stage 4 cancer.
Global Mirror News gathered that Blessing appeared on Arise TV on Friday night, where she was confronted by Medical Practitioner Adefunke Arowolo over what the doctor described as inconsistencies in the medical report and explanations presented by the social media personality.
During the interview, Dr. Arowolo challenged several of Blessing’s statements, insisting that they did not align with standard medical procedures for diagnosing and treating advanced cancer.
Global Mirror News further gathered that Dr. Arowolo disclosed on air that she had contacted the pathologist whose name appeared on the report presented by Blessing. According to her, the pathologist stated that he is based in Asaba and not Enugu, contrary to the claims made by Blessing.
The doctor also reportedly denied having any knowledge of the report and said he had not travelled to Enugu in recent times.
“I know that for an absolute fact,” Dr. Arowolo said during the live broadcast.
Viewers noted that Blessing appeared visibly shaken after the revelation and struggled to defend the authenticity of the medical document.
Global Mirror News reports that the controversy intensified after it emerged that the same medical report shown during the interview had earlier circulated online. Blessing had previously denied releasing the document after allegations surfaced that it originally belonged to another woman.
The family of the woman was said to have threatened legal action, alleging that Blessing took the medical report and altered it by inserting her own name.
Following the television appearance, Nigerians flooded social media with calls for an investigation and possible prosecution, accusing Blessing of deceiving the public and allegedly exploiting the illness narrative for sympathy and financial support.
Shortly afterwards, her account on Instagram, which reportedly had over 1.4 million followers, disappeared from public view. A search for the page now returns a “No User Found” message, indicating that the account has either been deactivated or deleted.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Blessing nor her representatives had issued an official statement.
