Army Strikes Hard: 17 Terrorists Killed, 85 Suspects Arrested, 10 Hostages Freed in Nationwide Raids

In a major Nationwide offensive against terrorism and criminal networks, troops of the Nigerian Army have neutralized 17 terrorists, apprehended 85 suspects, and rescued 10 kidnapped victims within the last 48 hours.
A credible military source at the Army Headquarters, Abuja, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), describing the operations as “highly coordinated and intelligence-driven.”
According to the source, the operations were conducted simultaneously across several theatres, including the North East, North West, and North Central regions , Areas long plagued by insurgent and bandit activities.
The suspects arrested were said to include Boko Haram informants, logistics suppliers, terrorist collaborators, drug traffickers, and suspected kidnappers.
Preliminary investigations revealed that some of the suspects had been on the Military’s watchlist for months due to their involvement in the supply of arms, food, and fuel to criminal hideouts.
The source added that troops also recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including AK-47 rifles, magazines, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), motorcycles, and several communication gadgets.
Meanwhile, the rescued victims, comprising women and children have been handed over to relevant authorities for medical care and reunification with their families.
The Nigerian Army, through its ongoing operations such as Operation Hadin Kai, Operation Safe Haven, and Operation Whirl Stroke, continues to intensify efforts to flush out terrorists, insurgents, and kidnappers from their hideouts across the Country.
The Military source reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to sustaining the momentum until peace and normalcy are fully restored Nationwide, urging citizens to remain vigilant and continue providing credible information to security Agencies.
