APC Ogun East Assembly Members Endorse Dapo Abiodun’s Senatorial Ambition

Members of the Ogun State House of Assembly from the Ogun-East Senatorial District under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have declared their support for the senatorial ambition of Dapo Abiodun.
The endorsement was contained in a joint press release issued and signed by the APC lawmakers representing constituencies within the district.
The lawmakers include; Hon.A.A .Adeyinka (Isagamu 2), Hon. (Mrs.) Alhaja Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju Serifat (Ijebu-Ode Constituency), Hon. AbdulRasheed Kashamu (Ijebu North I State Constituency), Hon. Sobukanla Olakunle (Ikenne State Constituency), Hon. Kaka Segun (Ijebu North II State Constituency).
According to the statement, the declaration reflects a shared conviction, careful consultation, and an unwavering commitment to the continued progress, stability, and effective representation of the senatorial district.
The lawmakers noted that their decision followed extensive deliberations and consultations with stakeholders across Ogun East.
“After extensive deliberations and engagement with stakeholders across Ogun East Senatorial District, we hereby express our strong support for the senatorial aspiration of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, ahead of the 2027 senatorial election.
“Our position is guided by the need to sustain purposeful leadership and ensure that the developmental strides recorded in Ogun State are effectively translated into quality representation at the Senate of the National Assembly of Nigeria.”
The lawmakers further stated that Governor Abiodun has demonstrated exceptional leadership through strategic governance, infrastructural development, economic expansion, and people-oriented policies that have positively transformed Ogun State.
They highlighted achievements of his administration in areas such as road infrastructure, education, healthcare delivery, investment promotion, and youth empowerment, noting that these initiatives have strengthened public confidence and positioned the state as a competitive hub for growth and sustainable development.
“We firmly believe that these qualities, combined with his vast administrative experience and deep understanding of national development issues, will greatly benefit Ogun East Senatorial District and the Federal Republic of Nigeria if entrusted with a senatorial mandate.
“As elected representatives closest to the grassroots, we remain committed to protecting the collective interests of our constituents. Our endorsement is therefore not merely political but rooted in the desire to secure experienced, visionary, and result-oriented representation for Ogun East Senatorial District.”
They also acknowledged the steady progress recorded across Ogun East through collaborative efforts between the state government and members of the Assembly, noting that such cooperation has brought developmental projects, improved public services, and renewed hope to communities within the district.
According to them, supporting Governor Abiodun’s senatorial ambition represents a strategic step toward consolidating these gains and ensuring stronger advocacy for Ogun East at the national level.
