Anambra Family Massacre: Gunmen Kill Four in Cold-Blooded Attack

A devastating tragedy unfolded in Isseke, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Thursday, as gunmen brutally murdered a family of four, comprising three females and one elderly man, in their home.

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers invaded the family’s apartment while they were asleep, leaving their lifeless bodies on the floor. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.

The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the incident, identifying the victims as the family of Ichie Kennedy Igboanugo from Ekwuru Isseke. The police spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated that the joint security team has cordoned off the area and recovered the bodies, which have been deposited at the mortuary.

Ikenga assured that investigations are ongoing, with the command working on clues to apprehend the perpetrators. The police have reinforced the area to prevent any further incidents.

The police command expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims, promising to keep the public updated on the investigation’s progress.
