AMB. OGUNSOLA COMMISSIONS BLOCK OF 3 CLASSROOMS AT KAJOLA, COMMENDS APPLE AND PEARS LTD ON CSR

…charges other companies operating within Obafemi Owode Local Government Area on corporate social responsibility
The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA has commissioned a new Block of 3 Classrooms with Furniture, Office, Toilets and Motorized Borehole at the Habib Jaafar Nursery and Primary School, Kajola.
The School Commissioned was Constructed by Apple and Pears Limited, through Private Public Partnership Initiative, in fulfilment of the Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) which is enshrined in the constitution as part of responsibility of any corporate organization operating within a community in Nigeria .

Speaking at the event, Amb. Ogunsola commended the performance of Apple and Pears Limited in giving back to the society they are operating from, as it is recorded that out of all the companies operating in that axis of the council area, Apple and Pears standout in partnering with the government in providing some basic amenities, particularly around thier locality.
He stressed that Obafemi Owode Local Government at inception of his administration had 162 public schools which make the job so enormous for the government alone, while he charged other companies, operating within the Local Government Area to emulate their sister’s company by giving back to the Communities where they reside.
Similarly, Amb. Ogunsola requested Apple and Pears Limited to extend this gesture to other sections of the Council Area, not limited to building and renovation of Public of Schools alone, as other sectors like Primary Health Care, Roads, Employment among others.
Evangelist Ifede Olalekan, Chairman Board, Ogun State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB) ably represented by the Board Secretary, Mr. Olubori Akinleye explained that learning environment remained the most crucial pillars of academic achievement, as research has consistently shown that the physical condition of schools, including the availability of classrooms, sanitary facilities, portable water, and safe surroundings, significantly impacts learner motivation, teacher effectiveness and overall education outcomes.
He stressed that the donation of a block of well ventilated three classrooms, modern toilets facilities, borehole, secured perimeter fencing, a well furnished head teacher’s office, and adequate learners’ furniture is a direct foundational education in the community. It is inline with the through broader vision of the Education for all(EFA) agenda and Sustainable Development Goal 4(SDG 4)which seek to ” ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promotes lifelong learning opportunities for all.
He further assured of the determination of His Excellency, Prince Dr.Dapo Abiodun, CON through Ogun SUBEB in building a robust, resilient and responsive basic education system that leaves no child behind whether in the urban or underserved rural communities.
Earlier, Hon. Chief Adeoye Olaseni, Education Secretary, Obafemi Owode Local Government Education Authority appreciated the government and the Habib Jaafar Foundation for constructing a modern school facility for usefulness of the Kajola Community, as he equally requested the Ogun State Universal Basic Education(SUBEB) board for the deployments of teachers.

He explained that the Local Government has done so much in the area of building and renovations of schools across wards in Obafemi Owode Local Government, only that the LGEA is short of manpower in terms of teachers, as he recalled that recently the local government commissioned a three blocks of ten classrooms at Maba Community with the expectations of resuming academic session by September this year.
Sir Johnson Adah, Chairman Operation Manager, Apple and Pears Limited explained that the construction of the Habib Jaafar Nursery and Primary School was burn out of passion of giving back to the society by the Chairman Board of Directors, Apple and Pears Limit.
