Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, Commissions Multiple Projects, Wins Governor’s Commendation

Ogun State Governor, His Excellency Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, has commended the Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, for his judicious spending of Local Government funds. The Governor’s commendation was conveyed by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiu Hamzat, during the commissioning of projects in the Local Government Area on June 30, 2025.

Amb. Ogunsola expressed his Administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and growth. He stated that the 2025 budget has been prepared to reflect the economic realities of the Local Government and address developmental needs. He appreciated the Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON, for granting him the opportunity to serve another term and implement his grassroots governance experience.

In there separate words during the commissioning: Chief Abdul Rasak Adisa Afolarin, Baale Aderupatan Village, Ajebo Ward, expressed gratitude for the motorized borehole project. While High Chief Rotimi Adesina Orunsolu, Baale Maba Community, thanked the Government for supporting the construction of 2 blocks of 10 classrooms

Hon. Soneye Damilola Kayode, Member, Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Obafemi Owode State Constituency, commended Amb. Ogunsola for renovating the Legislative Chamber, likewise, Hon. Saheed Ariyibi, Leader of the Legislative House, Obafemi Owode Local Government, appreciated the Council Boss’s support and assured continued collaboration.

The commissioned projects include:

Magboro Shopping Mall: Located on the Lagos axis of Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, the shopping mall was constructed to give the market a new look and standard. The Council Chairman explained that the Local Government had to move some sections of the Magboro market to create space for the construction of the shopping mall.

Primary School in Maba: The Council Boss assured the Maba Community of his unrelenting efforts to actualize the construction of a befitting Secondary School project in the Area, having fulfilled the promise made on the construction of a Primary school few years back.

Ogidan Asphalt Road: The road was rehabilitated by the Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola-led administration after years of deplorable condition.

Motorized Boreholes: The Council Boss commissioned motorized boreholes in Mabon, Gbalesun, and Fodoko villages, providing access to clean water for the residents.

The Community Leaders and Residents expressed gratitude to the Council Chairman for the projects, which have improved their quality of life, showered encomium on him for the provision of a motorized borehole for their community, saying it has brought relief to the villagers who previously relied on stream water.

Bamidele Erisan, Chief Woke Adeniji, Chief Idris Fadeyi; Hon. Sobukonla Abiodun, Vice Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government; Chief Kayode Dipeolu, Secretary to Local Government; Hon. Saheed Ariyibi, Leader of the Legislative Council; Ms. Olufunke Adeniji, Head of Local Government Administration, among others.
