Agric Ministry Seeks Spiritual Solution to Food Crisis

In a bid to address the rising concerns over food insecurity in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is set to hold a series of solemn prayer sessions. According to an Internal Memo, the Ministry aims to seek divine guidance and protection as it works towards achieving National Food Security.

The memo, signed by the Director of Human Resource Management, Mrs. Adedayo Modupe, invites staff members to participate in the prayer sessions, themed “Divine Intervention for Protection and National Development.” The sessions are scheduled to take place in the Ministry’s Conference Hall in Abuja on specific dates.

Prayer Session Details:

– Dates: Mondays, June 16th, 23rd, and 30th, 2025

– Time: 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

– Location: Conference Hall ‘B’, Ministry Headquarters, Area 11, Abuja.

Staff members have been requested to attend in a state of fasting, seeking spiritual strength and alignment in the Ministry’s mission to ensure Food Availability and Agricultural Sustainability.

However, in a surprising turn of events, the prayer session has been postponed till further notice, as indicated in a memo signed by the Director on Friday evening.

The move comes amidst growing concerns over food insecurity in Nigeria, with many citizens struggling to access basic food staples. The ministry’s efforts to address this issue have been met with various challenges, and the prayer sessions are seen as a way to seek divine intervention in finding solutions.
