Abiodun Hails Super Falcons’ Winning Spirit, Backs Team with ₦50m Boost
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has applauded the Super Falcons for their unmatched winning mentality and charged them to sustain their dominance as they face the Amazons of Benin Republic in the WAFCON 2026 qualifier.

Hosting the African champions at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Monday, October 27, 2025, the Governor described the team as a symbol of National pride and resilience.
Abiodun praised the Falcons for their record tenth WAFCON title in Morocco, saying their consistent victories have positioned Nigeria as a powerhouse in women’s football across the continent.
“Your winning spirit is contagious. You have shown that teamwork, discipline, and focus can turn challenges into triumphs. Nigeria is proud of you,” Abiodun said.
As part of his support, the Governor announced a ₦50 million reward for the team, aimed at motivating them to continue their success story in the ongoing qualifiers.

He assured that Ogun State would always stand behind the Falcons as they continue to lift the Nation’s flag high with every victory.
