“What we demonstrate today is to let people know why they must pay their due revenue to the coffer of the Local Government. Most of our people just hear IGR, but they don’t know that IGR needs to be paid. So, what we have done today is that we came out with our task force, and we led them to Kuto Market, to clean up the whole of the Kuto Market this morning because the place was so blocked and there was no movement at all in the Market.” Stated Hon Balogun.

The Iyaloja of Kuto Market, Alhaja Isiwatu Adewuyi, commended the Local Government for its initiative and pledged to cooperate in ensuring total compliance. This development demonstrates the Local Government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents through effective revenue management and infrastructure development.

The task force also visited various business organizations, including hotels, suites, and filling stations, to seek payment of their levies and dues to the Local Government.

The Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kodaolu therefore urged residents to comply with IGR payments, emphasizing that it is essential for the execution of projects and provision of services.
