Abeokuta Polo Club Set for an Unforgettable Evening on December 21, 2025
Abeokuta Polo Club is proud to announce the maiden edition of the Abeokuta Polo Festival, a prestigious celebration of culture, sportsmanship, and community development.
The festival marks a new chapter in the club’s legacy, reinforcing its theme: “Abeokuta Polo – Where Tradition Meets Excellence.” Scheduled to take place in the historic city of Abeokuta on the Club ground in Kobape along Abeokuta-Sagamu express way.
The festival will bring together Polo enthusiasts, dignitaries, business leaders, and lovers of refined entertainment. The event is designed not only as a sporting showcase but also as a platform to highlight the rich cultural heritage of Ogun State while positioning Abeokuta as a rising tourism and economic hub.
Speaking ahead of the event, the President of the Abeokuta Polo Club, Dr. Sheriff Adams Abdulrahman, expressed confidence in the festival’s potential to transform the socio-economic outlook of the host community.

The Abeokuta Polo Festival will feature thrilling afro and jazz music performances and orchestra renditions of the Ogun Anthem by Vesta Orchestra group, the event will be chaired by Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, HRM Oba Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo and it will showcases, fine dining experiences, entertainment, and business networking opportunities.
