Abeokuta North to Celebrate Exceptional Officer Sunmola Adewale Samuel at Retirement and 60th Birthday Event
The Abeokuta North Local Government is buzzing with excitement ahead of a special dual celebration honouring Mr. Sunmola Adewale Samuel, a distinguished Chief Clerical Officer marking both his retirement and 60th birthday this Friday, December 12, 2025.
The event will take place at the Local Government Christian Chapel, Local Government Secretariat, Akomoje, starting at 12 noon, where colleagues, friends, family members, and dignitaries are expected to gather in large numbers.
Mr. Sunmola, who served in the Information, Education and Sports Department, is widely celebrated for his unwavering commitment, excellent work attitude, and joyful approach to duty. Known as a dependable Officer who carried out tasks with little or no supervision, he earned admiration from everyone he worked with.
His service journey took him through several Local Governments, Ado-Odo/Ota, Imeko/Afon, Yewa North, and finally Abeokuta North, leaving a legacy of diligence and integrity everywhere he served.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Head of Information, Education and Sports Department, Mrs. Olasunkanmi Olalekan, praised Mr. Sunmola’s outstanding contributions, describing him as “a rare officer whose good deeds, humility, and unwavering dedication have deeply impacted the department and the entire Local Government.” She added that both members of staff and management share the same sentiment, stressing that his absence will be greatly felt.
Colleagues across departments echo similar praises, noting that he was always joyful, never complained, and remained useful and highly dependable throughout his career.
As Abeokuta North prepares to honour him, the event promises to be an emotional and memorable celebration of a Public Servant whose life and service embody commitment, humility, and excellence.
